Vancouver, Canada – May 11, 2017

Paragon Testing Enterprises was pleased to host the Ambassador of Canada to China, Mr. John McCallum, and other guests on a visit to its head office in Vancouver, BC. Ambassador McCallum was present to tour Paragon’s office and to learn more about Paragon’s English language testing operations. Ambassador McCallum was also briefed on the CAEL Assessment which is Paragon’s academic English language test used for admission to over 180 Canadian post-secondary schools. A computerized version of the CAEL Assessment, called CAEL CE, will be available in Canada late this summer and in China in the near future.

Dr. Donald Wehrung, CEO and President of Paragon Testing Enterprises, welcomed Ambassador McCallum and other guests, and noted the importance of strong ties with China.

“Making the CAEL tests available in China would give the thousands of students who wish to study abroad at Canadian post-secondary institutions the opportunity to take a Canadian English language test.” said Donald Wehrung.

Ambassador McCallum was announced to his post in China in January 2017, and has since worked to improve formal relations with China, and deepen Canadian investment and trade opportunities with China.

CAEL
I appreciated the availability of test dates for CAEL, and found it convenient and inexpensive compared to other English proficiency tests.

CAEL
What I liked most about the CAEL was that you can do the test on the computer, it uses Canadian English, and the results are released quickly!
