Dalian, China – November 18, 2016

Paragon Testing Enterprises and Maple Leaf Educational Systems have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to  work together to introduce the Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) Assessment as an important part of the English language preparation of Maple Leaf students.

Dr. Donald Wehrung, CEO of Paragon Testing Enterprises, and Dr. Sherman Jen, founder and chairman of Maple Leaf Educational Systems, as well as several representatives from both organizations met in Dalian, China, to sign the MOU and officially announce the initiative.

“Maple Leaf schools offer excellent British Columbia secondary school programs in China, and we look forward to working together on this initiative. The CAEL Assessment will provide a benefit to the Maple Leaf students as the test includes language activities that are very similar to the activities that students will engage in during their first year of Canadian post-secondary studies,” said Donald Wehrung.

Maple Leaf Educational Systems is China’s largest private international school system. It provides instruction in English by British Columbia–certified teachers and a BC Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma) to its graduation students. The school has 15 locations around China and over 20,000 students registered in its programs.
