Meet our CAEL Scholarship winner!

In our latest episode of CAEL Live, we spoke with one of our CAEL Scholarship winners, Rafea. She shared with us her own journey to study in Canada from Iran, and gave us some insight into why she chose Canada as her destination for post-secondary education.

What are the CAEL Scholarships?

The CAEL Scholarships are our way of helping our test takers reach their goal of studying in Canada. This year, we are excited to announce two scholarships for international students: $4,000 each, one to a student currently studying in Canada, and one to a student currently studying overseas. Two $500 runner-up prizes are awarded to international students in Canada and two $500 runner-up prizes are awarded to international students abroad.

What are the requirements?

All applicants must have taken CAEL on or after July 1, 2020, and must meet the following criteria:

  • Submitted the CAEL CE Test for admissions to a Canadian university or college as proof of English language proficiency
  • Achieved a score of 70 or higher on CAEL
  • Completed the essay submission
  • Admitted or enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution

How can I apply?

Applications for the CAEL Scholarships will be open until July 1, 2021.

Eligible applicants can apply directly through their CAEL account. If you have received a score of 70 or higher, log into your CAEL account to access the application form.

I appreciated the availability of test dates for CAEL, and found it convenient and inexpensive compared to other English proficiency tests.

What I liked most about the CAEL was that you can do the test on the computer, it uses Canadian English, and the results are released quickly!
