The 3M Teaching
Fellowship
(Ottawa, June 17, 2002) - Dr. Janna Fox, Professor of Linguistics
and Applied Language Studies at Carleton University, has been awarded
a prestigious 3M Teaching Fellowship. "This is the most prestigious
teaching award in Canada," said Dr. Stuart Adam, Vice-President
(Academic) at Carleton University. "We are very proud of Dr. Fox
and excited that this is the sixth time, in seven years, that Carleton
University professors have been awarded the 3M Fellowship."

The Jacqueline A. Ross Dissertation Award
Dr. Janna Fox won the 2002-03 award for her dissertation entitled "It's
all about meaning: L2 test validation in and through the landscape of
an evolving construct." She will receive her award at the 25th
annual Language Testing Research Colloquium (LTRC), July 2003, in Reading,
England.
